Last Friday, my coworkers and I went to Vikings Megamall to redeem 8000 pesos’ worth of GCs we won from the talent contest during last December’s Christmas party. I’ve never been there but restaurant buffets in any shape or form are always most definitely a good thing. What I didn’t expect was to be taken right to the very gates of Valhalla.
I have seen a bunch of stuff lately and it kind of got hard to find time to write about them, but I committed to writing more this year and if I don’t start now, it’s never gonna happen. An idea just now: I think I should try writing about stuff as I watch them (but not in movie houses of course, for obvious reasons)? I don’t know but will see about that.
Lately I’ve been trying to practice my Resting Bitch Face because, you know, ~wrinkles~. I’m not really sure as to the effectiveness of this “plan” or for how long I can keep it up, but one thing I know is that it’s a lot harder than it sounds!
The day me and my daughter returned home after spending the holidays at my mom’s, it was the last weekend before work and school resumes so, we decided to spend it just chilling with some “family friendly” viewing. I also caught and enjoyed acclaimed movie-musical Hairspray on cable TV.
It’s a bright new year and while I may still not be ready for Monday (because really, who is ever ready?) I couldn’t be more ready to own 2016. Things I’m excited about include what could possibly be the biggest thing to happen to my career *fingers crossed*; my brother’s wedding in May, which I’m coordinating, and more opportunities to travel.
I’m happy and grateful that I was able to visit the beach a couple of times this year, in the company of an amazing group of people no less. I’m a girl born and bred in the city, and trips that take me to any particular body of water that doesn’t feature floor tiles and chlorine are always a huge deal for me.
